The course is 6,529 metres long with a par of 72. It was inaugurated in 1992, covers an area of 61 hectares, and features wide fairways sown with Bermuda 419 and large Penncross greens. A total of 90 bunkers and 9 lakes contribute a high level of excitement to the layout and demand maximum skill and concentration on the part of the player. The course is extremely well maintained. It is resown with Raygrass every autumn to guarantee an impeccable appearance all year round. It is currently third in the ranking of the best Spanish golf courses published by Golf Digest. The Real Club Sevilla Golf also offers excellent practice areas. There is a large chipping green next to the clubhouse and two putting greens with slopes similar to those of the greens on the course. The practice course covers an area 120 metres wide by 260 metres long and is sown with Bermuda 419. Since the course was opened it has played host to numerous tournaments including the 2004 World Golf Championship, the Seville Open, the European Circuit trial held in April 2004 and the National Circuit Peugeot Golf Tour held every year at the Club since 2001. It was also host to the men’s absolute Spanish Championship in 1997, the International Spanish Championship The King’s Cup in 1997 and 1999, and the women’s Spanish International Championship The Queen’s Cup in 2001.
