The course is surrounded by rich Mediterranean flora and offers great variety, with narrow holes alternating with wider ones, and slightly undulating holes with flat ones, making it very pleasant to play on. It also offers wonderful views of Palma Bay and the Sierra Tramuntana mountains. In 1990 and 1994 Severiano Ballesteros and Barry Lane were the winners of The Balearic Island Open that was held in Son Vida with great success.
