Set in beautiful surroundings of pine trees and with a marvellous view of the coast, HCP-1 offers both a great location and the exceptional microclimate of the Maresme.
The 18 par-3 holes are an average of 85 metres long, with the longest reaching almost 120 metres and the shortest at 62 metres. All of the holes have two tees. The first 9 holes of the round are easier and shorter. The second half of the round is much more challenging. It has 5 holes with water and tees flanked by trees which means accurate shots are required. The course has a total of 19 bunkers and 3 artificial lakes. Special care has been taken by management in the construction of the round: finishing touches have been put to the sand bunkers; grass bunkers have been incorporated; some of the greens have been redesigned; and trees and bushes have been strategically placed both to prevent the risk of being hit by flying balls and to add beauty to the course, with carob, oak and pine trees. The golf school has a covered practice tee, with 16 large covered shooting positions and another 10 outdoors for practising short shots and precision shots. The designer Ramón Espinosa designed the initial layout for the whole club, the profile of the practice area and the putting green and approach shot area and, of course, the design of the 18 holes.
