The course consists of 18 holes with a par of 72 and a length of 5,866 metres. It was built in accordance with the standards of the United States Golf Association (USGA) with regard to tees, bunkers, drainage and greens. The greens, with an average surface area of more than 500 sq. m., have been shaped in such a way as to offer players a highly attractive amount of movement. The fairways are very varied, wide where the tee shot lands and offering a clear view of the hazards before you hit the ball. There are three, four or five tee platforms on each hole, so it is possible to play with the distances, as well as ensure an optimum level of maintenance. The tees are raised in comparison with the dropping zone, so you can visualise the tee shot perfectly beforehand and get a spectacular view of the flight of the ball. Incredible views of the sea and the hills of Mijas Bay from nearly all of the holes. At present Calanova Golf Club has a provisional clubhouse of 300 square metres in which you will find the shop, the changing rooms (with showers), the reception area, and a restaurant with a terrace offering a spectacular view of the sea.
