Golfspain came to life in 1996, with the objective of becoming the main Spanish Web site on the Internet for all golfers. The site appeared for the first time in early 1997 on the domain www.golfspain.com and has now become the gateway to golf on the Internet.

On our pages, besides finding all the information on the main events and news related to the world of golf, you can visit each course and its holes with comments on how to tackle them... you can reserve green-fees online in real time at over 30 golf courses, and with the inclusion of more and more courses every day. Soon you will be able to create your own "customer golf packages."

In 1999, as a result of the need for technological and financial support for the ambitious project to create a golf portal on the Internet for the international golfer who would like to take part in his favorite sport in Spain, Portugal and Latin America, NetJuice became a shareholder of Golfspain.

NetJuice is the number one independent Spanish company that creates and develops Internet companies in Spanish-speaking areas. It is currently a federation of seven companies, the capital value of which is equal to 16 billion pesetas.

Golfspain's goal is to be the point of reference for the golf industry in Spain. In order to accomplish this ambitious project , Golfspain recently included Call & Play, a services company that specializes in golf, as well as adding the Master Golf course management, administration and competition program designed by Carlos Beca. Furthermore, we signed agreements of various sorts with companies and associations such as Turespaña, Baron Corporation and VeriSign, among others.

In January 2001 Golfspain reached an agreement with the Royal Spanish Golf Association (RFEG), the Regional Associations and Acciona to combine their golf-related activities on Internet, by investing in Portal Golf Gestión, S.A., a company promoted by the RFEG, the Associations and the Acciona Group. Thanks to this agreement Golfspain.com has strengthened and guaranteed its position of leadership in the sector. In addition to the services which it already offers such as the on-line booking of green fees, the contracting of tourism-related services, current affairs content and information, the purchasing of sports equipment, etc., the new Golfspain.com will offer users all of the services of the Royal Spanish Golf Association and Regional Associations which a golfing enthusiast could wish for.
