Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort is only Links-type golf course in the south of Spain, 18 holes with spectacular views over the Mediterranean and Gibraltar; a second 18-hole, Heathland-type course.
This is a course with a typically Scottish design, right next to the beach at Cadiz and offering spectacular views out over the sea.
It is the first links-style course in Spain and is very different from all of the other courses in the area.
Consisting of a round of 18 holes and with a par of 72, it is a smooth course and on a clear day you can see Africa. The most spectacular features of the round are the natural dunes around the holes and the ever-present sea.
At Alcaidesa golf is ever-present, with its 36 magnificent holes spread out all over the resort. Apart from the classic Links-type course, which has been Alcaidesa’s flagship since 1992, since 2007 there is a new Heathland one, which recovers the gently undulating landscape and typical groves of the area. Thanks to Dave Thomas, the famous golf course designer, this golf course is now the best setting for any type of golf championship.
It is situated a mere 5 minutes from Sotogrande, at kilometre 124.6 on the motorway between Sotogrande and La Línea.
